A delegation from Thailand visits Agroseguro to learn how the Spanish Combined Agricultural Insurance system operates

The Agrupación Española de Entidades Aseguradoras de los Seguros Agrarios Combinados (Agroseguro) has received an official delegation from Thailand to gain in-depth knowledge about the functioning of the Spanish agricultural insurance system and the specific role played by Agroseguro as a management company.

The visit included senior representatives from the Thai Ministry of Finance, local administrations – including eight mayors and deputy mayors from various cities and municipalities – as well as from Bangkok's Thammasat University, represented by the dean of the Faculty of Social Administration. The entire delegation is part of a training and development programme on managing funds for sustainable development, which includes a specific section on agricultural insurance.

As well as being part of AIAG (International Association of Agricultural Production Insurers) and ALASA (Latin American Association for the Development of Agricultural Insurance), Agroseguro continually collaborates with public administrations and international institutions interested in a greater understanding of the functioning of the Spanish Combined Agricultural Insurance system. In recent years, delegations from 30 countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa have been received. This work confirms the international prestige of Spanish agricultural insurance and the management carried out by Agroseguro for 44 years.
